OPEC expects world demand for oil to stay at 89.5 million barrels a day, according to a report in July, RIA Novosti reports.
Oil demand was at 88.7 million barrels daily in 2012. Demand for OPEC oil in 2012 is 29.9 million barrels daily, dropping by 0.1 million, compared with 2011. OPEC expects demand for its oil to drop by 300,000 barrels to 29.6 million barrels daily in 2013.
OPEC expects increase of demand for non-OPEC oil by 900,000 barrels daily in 2013.
OPEC extraction in June was at an average of 31.36 million barrels daily, exceeding figures in May by 106,000 barrels daily.
