250 private companies will export Iranian oil, Trend cites Hasan Hosrojerdi, head of the Association of Oil, Petroleum and Gas Exporters of Iran.
Three consortiums will be founded. One has already been established with 65 private companies.
OPEC said that Iran exported 2.537 million barrels daily in 2011, 2.583 in 2010 and 2.406 million in 2009.
The Iranian parliament permitted private companies to export oil. They were allowed to sell 20% of all petroleum exports, about 400,000 barrels daily.
Oil sales by consortiums should start in the second half of 2012.
Foreign ministers of 27 EU states met in Brussels on January 23 and approved the embargo on Iranian oil exports. The new package of sanctions includes a gradual ban on imports of petroleum from Iran. The embargo came into full force on July 1.
The US, Israel and a set of other Western states accuse Iran of developing nuclear arms against the background of the peaceful atom. Tehran denies all the accusations and insists that its nuclear program is intended to fulfil demand for electricity.
