Iran to maintain economy without oil income

Iran plans to keep its economy running without income from sales of oil on foreign markets, Iranian Minister for Petroleum Rostam Hasemi said at an international energy conference in the UAE today.

The minister added that new sanctions may force the country to stop oil exports. Oil processing reached 2 million barrels daily with oil extraction at 4 million barrels, unlike the 2.72 million stated by OPEC.
