Japanese company to carry out hotel project in Yerevan

The Japanese company Aray Architects has won a tender to develop a
project to build the the hotel complex Intercontinental. According to
the head of the architectural group, Levon Vardanyan, the famous
Japanese architect Aray Yokaza will work on the hotel project, Armenia
Today
reports.


The architect himself said that the hotel will consist of a
residential complex,a hotel section, a business center and other
sections. All the rooms will face south, so that all the guests can
enjoy the view of Mount Ararat. The hotel will have a 2,000-place
parking lot.


The head of Avangard Motors Eduard Avetisyan said that the project
will be considered by the city-construction commission of the Yerevan
mayor. Construction will take 3-4 years to complete and will require
some $200 million in investment. The work will be performed by
Armenian builders.
