The tender for participation in the competition within the Eastern
Partnership cultural program was declared at the end of 2010. The
program is financed by the European Neighborhood and Partnership
Instrument (ENPI), and is worth 9 million euros, says the annual
report published by ENPI on the EuropeAid website.
The program's objective is to support the role of culture in the
stable development of the region, the support of regional cooperation
between state agencies, civil society and culture organizations, funds
and science organizations in the region of "Eastern Partnership" and
EU, Business Georgia reports.
The tender will provide grants for projects of regional development,
involving all spheres of culture, including cinema and the audio and
visual sector, modern art, material and non-material heritage, and
programs supporting cultural heritage. The program aims to:
-support political reforms on a government level and build up the
potential of cultural organizations and increase the professional
level of workers of the cultural sphere of Eastern Partnership;
- assist in information and experience exchange in the cultural sphere
on a regional level and in cooperation with the EU;
- support regional initiatives, which contribute to the development of
the economic and cultural sphere, social integration, settlement of
conflicts and the advancement of an intercultural dialogue
