Rosneft and Lukoil plan to continue exploring the Sea of Azov , RIA
Novosti reports, citing head of Rosneft Sergey Bogdanchikov.
On the Temriuk-Akhtarsk field in Krasnodar Territory of the Azov shelf
they plan to take seismic measurements.
The license belongs to Oil Company Priazovneft, a joint venture of
Rosneft (42.5%), Lukoil (42.5%) and the administration of Krasnodar
Territory (15%).
Oil will be transported ashore through a pipeline to export terminals.
The licensed territory consists of 543 thousand square meters. Minimum
forecasts estimate 50 million tons of oil.
The program of developing the Azov shelf will last 5 years, including
3D seismic measurements of 300 km, 2D- 700 km and construction of
exploration boreholes. Earlier estimates of the program were $100
million.
