Work on the Adler thermal power plant in Sochi has begun, Yuga.ru reports.
The main building will become the dominant architectural structure of
the power plant. The machine hall with steam turbines and the unit
control room will be in the main building. It will connect gas
turbines with exhaust heat boilers.
"The state of work demonstrates that the plant will be completed
strictly according to schedule, in 2012", the head of the energy
development department at Gazprom Denis Feodorov said.
The Adler plant is part of the Olympic facility construction program
and development of Sochi as a mountain-climate resort. The plant is
equipped with the latest technical and technological equipment, with
two energy blocks based on 180 megawatt steam-gas installations,
including all the necessary infrastructure.
