The deputy minister of oil and Director-General of the Iranian
National Gas Company, Javad Ouji, said that the Board of Directors of
the Iranian National Oil Company have ratified the contract on
construction of the 'Mir' pipeline to export Iranian gas to Pakistan,
priced at $7 billion, Iran News reports.

A high-ranking delegation from the Pakistani Ministry of Oil and
Natural Resources will arrive in Tehran for the signing.

According to the contract, Iran will export 21.5 million cubic meters
of natural gas daily to Pakistan, or 7.8 billion cubic meters
annually, starting in 2014.

Ouji said that the contract provides for construction of the second
section (400 km long) of the 7th transnational gas pipeline
Iranshehr-Chabakhar – the Pakistani border.

Seven investors are ready to participate in the contract.

The construction of the first 900 km long section of the 7th
transnational gas pipeline with a pipe diameter of 56 inch connecting
Asaluye with Iranshehr, is complete. In a month and a half Iranshehr
will become the first city in the province of Sistan and Belujistan to
