Georgia considering SOCAR offer to buy part of Russian-Armenian gas pipeline.

A source in the Georgian government has confirmed that the pipeline north-south (Mozdok - Tbilisi - Yerevan) will be bought by the Social Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) says 1news.az, citing Hurriyet.
Sources in Tbilisi say that due to the economic crisis Georgia has decided to exclude the pipeline from the non-privatization list. It is said that 99% of the line will belong to SOCAR.
"Last month the president of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliev, had negotiations with the president of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili,"says the paper. Yerevan is anxious that the pipeline will fall into the hands of Azerbaijan
Among the potential buyers are SOCAR, Russia’s "Gazprom" and the Kazakh "Kazmunaygaz"
