The next batch of fuel for the Bushehr nuclear power plant is ready and will be transport to Iran a year after the start of the reactor, said president of the TVEL corporation Yuri Olenin, according to RIA Novosti.
"The next batch of fuel be needed a year after the launch of the reactor, and if it is launched this year, the fuel will be delivered in 2011", Olenin said. The first batch for launching the reactor was delivered in Iran in 2007.
"The next batch is ready, it has been produced in Novosibirsk," Olenin said. According to him, Russia delivers fuel under the contract. "We maintain continuous contact with our Iranian colleagues and adjust prices, which fluctuate depending on world uranium and enrichment services costs " Olenin said.
Sergey Kirienko, the head of the state corporation Rosatom , has previously reported that the first Iranian Bushehr nuclear power plant being built by Russian specialists, is to be launched until the end of the summer 2010.
