The Turkish foreign minister's advisor, Feridun Sinirlioglu, has met
the head of the Regional Administration of North Iraq, Massoud
Barzani, in Erbil, 6news reports.
At the meeting they discussed the results of Iraqi elections in March,
the fight against insurgents, and the economic cooperation of Turkey
with the regional administration.
Sinirlioglu said that the region has great economic potential.
Barzani expressed his support for the democratic initiatives of the
Turkish government in the fight against insurgents.
Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu invited Barzani to visit
Turkey and he will arrive at the end of May or at the beginning of
June.
