Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will supervise the coming meeting of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) in Vienna on June 8, Iran News reports.
Iran is currently head of the OPEC.
Ahmadinejad said that he will temporarily head the Petroleum Ministry of his country due to the dismissal of Minister Seyed Massoud Mirkazemi.
Ahmadinejad dismissed the minister of petroleum, minister for social support and minister for industry and mining. He explained that the step is necessary to reduce the number of ministries from 21 to 17, as part of the five-year plan for development of the country for 2010-2015.
