Possible sanctions against Iran "would not affect existing
Russian-Iranian economic contacts", the chairman of the Russian upper
house's committee on international affairs said.
The UN SC resolution project for Iran is well-balanced and was
concerned by Russia, the USA and China, Mikhail Margelov said.
The head of the committee on defense and security Victor Ozerov added
that Russia is ready to part with its personal interests for the sake
of global security and stability. He emphasized that Russia's position
is balanced between peacekeeping issues and national interests,
ITAR-TASS reports.
