The Secretary General of OPEC, Abdallah Salem el-Badri, will visit Tehran in early November, MEHR reports.
Badri was invited by Iranian Petroleum Minister Rustam Gasymy.
Iran has being chairing OPEC since early January 2011 for the first time in 36 years. Iran is the second-largest oil state of OPEC. The organization consists of Algeria, Angola, Ecuador, Iraq, Kuwait, Libya, Nigeria, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE and Venezuela.
Tehran expects the Secretary General of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum, Leonid Bokhanovsky, to visit Tehran in early November.
The Gas Exporting Countries Forum was formed by Russia and 13 other gas exporting states in 2001. Iran, Venezuela and Qatar are members of the forum.
