Lithuania, Azerbaijan discuss perspectives for cooperation

The first session of an Azerbaijani-Lithuanian intergovernmental
commission in Vilnius took place today, Trend reports, citing the
Lithuanian embassy in Azerbaijan.


The sides discussed the issues of economic cooperation and other topical issues.


The Azerbaijani side of the commission was headed by Minister of Taxes
Fazil Mamedov, and the Lithuanian side by Foreign Minister Audronius
Azubalis.


Mamedov met Lithuanian Premier Andrius Kubilius and the Foreign
Minister Audronius Azubalis. Apart from economic cooperation issues,
the sides exchanged views on the importance of bilateral investments,
cooperation in information technologies, environment, healthcare and
social protection.
The trade turnover between the two countries in January-March reached
$2.1 million, dropping by 30.7%.
