Azerbaijan and Belarus to discuss cooperation prospects

The sixth session of the intergovernmental commission on economic
cooperation Azerbaijan-Belarus will take place in Baku tomorrow, the
Belarus ambassador to Azerbaijan Nikolay Patskevich said, 1new.az
reports.


The delegation will be headed by the Belarus Vice-Premier Andrey
Kobyakov. The ministers of industry, agriculture, communication and
other spheres will participate in the commission.


The diplomat said that they expect to sign an agreement on mutual
protection of investments and an agreement on cooperation between
Belarus' Ministry of Communications and the Azerbaijani Ministry of
Communication and Information Technologies.


Patskevich noted that they will review the protocol signed at the
previous session in 2009 in Minsk and the realization of the long-term
program of social-economic cooperation between the two countries,
lasting until 2015.


The sides will also consider the preparation of documents for the
official visit of Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko to Azerbaijan
in June this year.


The Azerbaijani side of the commission will be headed by First
Vice-Premier Yagub Eyubov.
