Armenia and Kuwait signed agreement on mutual protection of investments

Armenia and Kuwait will sign an agreement in Yerevan tomorrow on
stimulation and mutual protection of investments, News Armenia
reports.


According to a message from the Armenian Finance Ministry, the
agreement will be signed by Armenian Minister of Finance Tigran
Davtyan and his Kuwaiti counterpart Mustafa Jazem al-Shamali, who
arrived in Yerevan on Thursday.


The agreement aims at expanding investment and business initiatives
and activating economic cooperation between the two countries.
An Armenian delegation headed by President Serzh Sargsyan was on a
visit to Kuwait in November 2009. The finance ministers of the two
countries signed an agreement lifting double taxing of income and
property and tax evasion.


The Armenian Finance Ministry hosted a meeting of the finance
ministers of the two countries on economic issues. The sides discussed
mutually beneficial investment projects and steps for establishing
good conditions for activating business links and developing
cooperation between the two countries.
