The process of normalizing Armenian-Turkish relations can only be
continued if Turkey respects the agreements achieved with other
countries, Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian said at a
press-conference with the federal minister of Austria on European and
International affairs Michael Spindelegger, News Armenia reports.
There has been progress in Armenian-Turkish rapprochement in the past
2 years, initiated by Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan within the
framework of signing the protocols on establishing diplomatic
relations and developing bilateral relations in Zurich on 10th October
2009.
Nalbandian said that after the start of the process in September 2008
the sides agreed to promote normalization of relations and open
borders. But Turkey cannot ratify the agreements and implement them
without preconditions.
