Putin and Maduro to discuss oil prices

Tomorrow Russian President Vladimir Putin plans to meet Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, who will arrive in Moscow on a working visit.

"In fact, President Putin plans to hold such a meeting on Thursday," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed. "Of course, first of all the sides will focus on bilateral Russian-Venezuelan relations, and namely particular projects in energy and the banking and financial sector," Tass cited him.

"Of course, the situation on the global oil markets along with some other issues will be among the topics to be discussed," Peskov added.

Last week Maduro visited several member-states of OPEC, as well as China. In the words of the Venezuelan leader, the main purpose of his contacts in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Iran, Algeria and China was "continuing efforts at the highest level to recover world oil prices."
