The President of the World Chess Federation (FIDE), Kirsan Ilyumzhinov, speaking about the development of chess in Azerbaijan, praised the level of hosting of the Chess World Cup, which took place in Baku from September 10th to October 5th 2015, and said that in the autumn of 2016 the capital of Azerbaijan will host the 42nd World Chess Olympiad.
