748 security officials were injured, 18 killed during the riots in Kazakhstan, the Tengrinews.kz portal reported on Thursday.
"18 officers of law enforcement agencies are killed. 748 employees of the internal affairs bodies and military personnel of the National Guard were injured," the news agency reports with a reference to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the republic, the number of detainees is about 2,300 people.
