The head of Dagestan, Ramazan Abdulatipov, said that the shooting in the Naryn-Kala fortress is a crime of terrorists who remain at large, stressing that the perpetrators of the attack will be uncovered.
According to Abdulatipov, last year was a breakthrough for Derbent. "We celebrated the 2000th anniversary of Derbent, held celebrations not only in Dagestan, but also in Moscow and Paris, which gave people hope of living in peace. But, apparently, there are still those who cannot stand that stability," Interfax cited him as saying.
