Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Head of the Department of Foreign Policy Affairs of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan Hikmet Hajiyev said on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum that Baku is ready to provide its platform for negotiations between Russia and Ukraine.
"There was such a proposal from the Ukrainian side. In case of such an intention, we are ready to host this meeting. Earlier, Baku held a meeting between the delegations of Russia and NATO", Hikmet Hajiyev reminded.
Azerbaijani president's assistant stressed that the republic has a special status in terms of Russian-Ukrainian negotiations - it is not part of either NATO or the CSTO, and currently chairs the Non-Aligned Movement.
