The famous Romanian artistic gymnast, three-time Olympic champion, seven-time European champion, Catalina Ponor, who is considered by sports experts and gymnasts one of the leaders of the FIG Artistic Gymnastics Individual Apparatus World Cup in Baku, speaking with a correspondent of Vestnik Kavkaza, said that she likes to perform in the capital of Azerbaijan.
"I like Baku very much, although I has not yet been able to properly see the city because of training before the tournament. The arena is beautiful, it's really big and comfortable," she said.
Speaking about innovative lighting, when light focuses on a gymnast and apparatus, Catalina Ponor expressed confidence that it would make each performance at the competitions more spectacular.
"It will be very beautiful for the audience, so we will try to perform as the organizers intended," the Romanian gymnast noted.
