Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation Gymnast, thanks to the high level of organization of the competitions, including the best sports equipment, provides gymnasts an opportunity to compete in ideal conditions, gymnast Emil Soravuo from Finland said, speaking with the correspondent of Vestnik Kavkaza after performing exercises in the vault in qualifications at the FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Cup in Baku.
"It's just great here. A wonderful arena has been built in Baku. I really like the equipment, especially the floor exercise area and the pommel horse. Today I performed with a basic vault, also on an excellent apparatus, which is important, because that it allows me to do my best. I am very pleased with the AGF's work at international tournaments," he stressed.
Emil Soravuo also admitted that he fell in love with Baku at first sight. "It's my first time here, and I can say that Baku is a beautiful city, I really like to be here," the Finnish gymnast concluded.
The 2018 FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Cup AGF Trophy is been held at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku, Azerbaijan on March 15-18. A total of 102 gymnasts from 25 countries are taking part in the competitions.
The qualifying competitions are being held on March 15-16. The finals in the men's floor exercise, men's parallel bars, men's ring, as well as finals in women's vault and women's uneven bars will be held on March 17. The finals in the men's vault, men's pommel horse, men's horizontal bar, as well as finals in women's balance beam and women's floor exercise will be held on March 18.
