Foreign Ministers of Russia and Iran discuss Syria and cooperation in Caspian

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov held a telephone conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif.

The diplomats discussed topical issues of bilateral cooperation in the international arena, considering the results of Russian President Vladimir Putin's working visit to Tehran, which was held  on November 1, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.

Lavrov and Zarif, in particular, exchanged views on the Syrian settlement and considered issues of cooperation in the Caspian Sea. The ministers paid special attention to the schedule of forthcoming contacts at various levels.
