The candidate from the ruling Georgian Dream party, Mamuka Tsotseria, won the second round of mayor elections in Zugdidi.
According to the Central Election Commission, he received 51.63% of the vote.
Anzor Melia, a candidate from the opposition United National Movement party, gained 48.37%.
The gap between the candidates amounted to 1,700 of votes.
