Georgian rescuers receive equipment to combat chemical and biological hazards

The Embassy of Poland has transferred equipment to eliminate the effects of biological, radiological and nuclear incidents to the Emergency Management Agency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.

"The Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Tbilisi has transferred special equipment used for the elimination of chemical and biological hazards, to the Emergency Management Agency and we really appreciate this assistance," Sputnik-Georgia cited the Deputy Interior Minister of Georgia, Merab Malania, as saying.

"We discussed several projects with a total value of more than 400 thousand euros. Georgia remains a priority country for Poland and we plan to actively cooperate with the Georgian side in 2016," the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Poland to Georgia, Andrzej Cieszkowski, said.
