A commemoration meeting will be held for doctor, honorary professor of the Russian Academy of Arts, former dean of the History Department Ivan Tuchkov (1956–2018) will be held today at 16.30 in the Shuvalovsky building of Moscow State University. The evening will be attended by teachers, staff and students, the website of the Faculty of History of Moscow State University reports.

In April last year, we visited our graduates in Baku with him and deputy dean of the faculty Oksana Solopova. There he gave a lecture in the hall of the Azerbaijan Pedagogical University, which rector, professor, doctor of historical sciences Jafar Jafarov is also a graduate of the History Department of Moscow State University.
Ivan Ivanovich Tuchkov's life was connected with the History Department of Moscow State University: he received his higher education there and since 1981 taught at the Department of General History of Art, giving lectures on the art of the Renaissance and the art of Ancient Rome. Since 2003, he served as deputy head of the department of the general history of art, and in 2007 he headed it. For several years, Tuchkov served as deputy dean of the History Department of Moscow State University for scientific work, in 2015 he was appointed acting dean, and in 2016 became the dean of the faculty.
