Justice must be served for those responsible for Khojaly tragedy

A total of 31 years have passed since one of the bloodiest crimes against humanity, the Khojaly genocide, happened. The Khojaly genocide is an integral part of the systemic terror policy of Armenians against Azerbaijanis.

Justice must be served for those responsible for Khojaly genocide, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry wrote on Twitter.

"On the 31st Anniversary of Khojaly Genocide, one of the gravest crimes committed against Azerbaijani civilians during Armenian aggression, we honor memory of victims with deep sorrow. Justice must be served to end impunity of responsible ones and establish long-lasting peace in region," the publication said.

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavushoglu wrote on his Twitter page that Turkey has not forgotten and will not forget the crime against humanity committed in Khojaly. "We condemn the murder of our Azerbaijani brothers in Khojaly 31 years ago and once again honor the memory of our martyrs. We have not forgotten the crime against humanity committed in Khojaly, and we will not forget it," he wrote.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has visited the Khojaly genocide memorial in Khatai district, Baku on the 31st anniversary of the tragedy. He laid a wreath at the memorial and paid tribute to Khojaly victims.
