A meeting of Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) member states, as well as non-OPEC oil producers, will be held in the near future, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro said.
According to him, the meeting will be held in the coming days, "they are expected to ratify the commitment to freeze production at least until June 2016." Maduro said that the sides will also discuss proposals that Venezuela has on the table to retrieve the oil market.
Earlier, Bloomberg reported that members of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries plan to meet with other producers in Russia on March 20.
