Media report information about the government's directive to the state officials on the board of directors of Transneft about the need to vote in favor of the candidacy of the head of the Ministry of Energy, Alexander Novak, in the elections for the new chairman.
Transneft is proposing to re-elect the Chairman of the Board of Directors, the managing director of Nord Stream AG, Matthias Warnig. The company explains its position by "Warnig's professionalism, experience and knowledge of the characteristics and specifics of Transneft."
Currently, Presidential Aide Andrei Belousov is the chairman of the board of directors of Rosneft.
