OPEC reference basket increases by 2.4%

The OPEC reference basket of crudes stood at $34.5 per barrel yesterday. Thus, it has risen by $0.81 (2.4%).

The OPEC Reference Basket is made up of the following oil brands: Saharan Blend (Algeria), Girassol (Angola), Oriente (Ecuador), Minas (Indonesia), Iran Heavy (Islamic Republic of Iran), Basra Light (Iraq), Kuwait Export (Kuwait), Es Sider (Libya), Bonny Light (Nigeria), Qatar Marine (Qatar), Arab Light (Saudi Arabia), Murban (UAE) and Merey (Venezuela).

The price of a barrel of Brent crude increased by 0.79% up to $40.65 per barrel, while the crude oil futures of WTI increased by 1.46% up to $39.02 per barrel, Trend reports.
