Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Venezuelan counterpart Nicolas Maduro discussed in phone talks the situation on the global oil market as well as issues of bilateral strategic cooperation, the Kremlin press service said.
"The sides discussed current issues of Russia-Venezuela strategic cooperation, including the implementation of joint projects in trade, energy and other economy sectors," Sputnik cited the statement as saying.
"The leaders also exchanged opinions on the situation on the global oil market in the context of the agreement on reduction of oil production coordinated by the OPEC and the upcoming meeting of energy ministers of OPEC and non-OPEC oil producing countries in Vienna on December 10," the statement said.
