Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed the Federal Law on Ratification of the agreement between the government of the Russian Federation and the government of the Republic of Azerbaijan concerning the encouragement and reciprocal protection of investments.
"The agreement aims to create favorable conditions for development of mutually beneficial trade-economic and scientific-technical cooperation between Russia and Azerbaijan," RIA Novosti cited the document as saying.
The agreement covers investments carried out by investors since January 1st, 1992.
