Russian-Azerbaijani relations to be discussed in Yekaterinburg

An international round table titled 'Russia-Azerbaijan: new trends of development of the bilateral dialogue: economy, politics, integration' will start its work at the Ural Federal University named after the first President of Russia B. N. Yeltsin in Yekaterinburg on September 30.

The forum will be attended by the Departmental Chief of the Russian President on inter-regional and cultural relations with foreign countries, Vladimir Chernov, the President's Aide for Public and Political Affairs, Ali Hasanov, the Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Vladimir Dorokhin, the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Russia, Polad Bulbuloglu, the governor of the Sverdlovsk region Yevgeny Kuyvashev, the heads of the Azerbaijani and Russian regions.

After the plenary session, which will be attended by about 1200 people, the forum will be divided into several panel discussions, including 'Russian-Azerbaijani cooperation in the sphere of industry', 'Development of Russian-Azerbaijani cooperation in the field of agriculture', 'Russia - Azerbaijan: Cooperation in the field of transport. Results and Prospects', 'The main directions of development of humanitarian ties between Russia and Azerbaijan', 'New possibilities of cooperation in the tourism sector'.

International experts will analyze the most important aspects of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Russia, promising areas of trade and economic relations, opportunities for the development of mutual investments in non-raw sector, the current state and prospects of development of dialogue in the Caspian Sea. One of the main topics for discussion will be the upcoming parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan.

The meeting will be attended by the director of the Institute of Regional Problems, Dmitry Zhuravlev, the Executive Director of the Political Science Center North-South, Yulia Yakusheva, Director General of Vestnik Kavkaza Ismail Agakishiyev, the head of the expert club 'Ural Eurasia', Konstantin Pogorelsky, the director of the Central Asian Center of the Ural Federal University, member of expert club 'Ural-Eurasia', Rustam Ganiev, as well as members of the Azerbaijani delegation, students of Urals Federal University and representatives of the Azerbaijani diaspora in Yekaterinburg.

The project is organized by the Political Science Center North-South to develop information and scientific relations with foreign countries.
