President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed a decree on announcement of 2020 as a Year of Volunteers, Akorda press service reported.
The head of state supported the proposal to declare next year as a Year of Volunteers during the Kazakh-Russian youth forum, which was held in Kostanay in May.
Tokayev then said that the volunteer movement is needed for the government and that volunteer preparation centers should be opened, AKIpress recalls.
