President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a meeting with Executive Secretary of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO) Lassina Zerbo, the press service of the Kazakh President said.
During the talks, the sides discussed cooperation between Kazakhstan and the Organization, including in the framework of the further promotion of international initiatives of first Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev on strengthening global security.
The head of state congratulated Zerbo on award of Nazarbayev prize for peace without nuclear weapon and global security and noted his contribution to nuclear disarmament work, AKIpress reported.
Zerbo, in turn, thanked the Kazakh leader for support of the Organization's activities and expressed hope that the joint efforts will help achieve the goals on establishment of peace without nuclear weapon.
