Memorandum on Turkey-Greece-Italy pipeline signed

The memorandum on mutual understanding in constructing the
Turkey-Greece-Italy pipeline, transporting Azerbaijani gas to Europe,
has been signed in Ankara, Turkey. According to the Turkish Minister
of Energy and Natural Resources Tanner Yildyz, construction should be
completed in 2017, the pipeline will supply 11.6 billion cubic m of
gas annually, ANS reports.


The minister noted that this project will be the basis for new
projects, with Turkey supporting Nabucco and ITGI. After signing the
memorandum the sides will consider the financial aspects of
construction.
