Bendukidze to be buried at Kuki Cemetery in Tbilisi

The body of Kakha Bendukidze, a former Georgian minister of the economy and an advisor to Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, will be moved from London to Tbilisi on November 21 and buried at Kuki Cemetery on November 22, said Vakhtang Lezhava, a member of the monitoring council of the Free University center for politics and analysis, RIA Novosti reports.Mourning will begin at the house of Bendukidze’s parents on November 21. He will be buried next to his mother.

 The body of Kakha Bendukidze, an ex-minister for economy of Georgia, an advisor of the Ukrainian president, will be examined in London, said Georgian ex-Deputy Minister for Economy Vakhtang Lezhava, TASS reports.Bendukidze died in London on November 13. He will be buried in Tbilisi. The day of the funeral has not been named.

He underwent surgery in Switzerland two weeks ago, Interfax reports.Bendukidze had been doing business in Russia for 20 years since the 1980s. He was the director general of the United Engineering Factories at that time.In 2004, Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili appointed him as the minister for economy.
