Direct flight connects Tashkent, Warsaw

The direct flight connected Warsaw and Tashkent. The Polish airline performed the first flight on the new route. Flights will be operated every ten days.

LOT Polish Airlines has launched flights between the Polish and Uzbek capitals.

The first direct flight on the Warsaw-Tashkent route took place yesterday. The passengers of the plane were welcomed at the airport with a water arch, music, and flowers. Polish ambassador to Uzbekistan, Radoslav Gruk, was among the officials, attending the welcoming ceremony.

Boeing 787 liners will operate charter flights in this direction once in ten days. The schedule will be valid until mid-June. The flight from Tashkent to Warsaw will cost $500, the cost of return tickets is lower, about $380. In the future, flights between Uzbekistan and Poland may become regular.

Negotiations on the opening of air traffic between the two capitals have been going on for more than 10 years. Poland is a member of the EU, citizens of Uzbekistan need to obtain a visa in advance to visit the country.
