Israel is “closely monitoring” the fallout from widespread Iranian protests, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Sunday at the opening of a cabinet meeting.
According to him, Israel supports the Iranian protesters’ “struggle for freedom” and strongly condemns the “mass slaughter of innocent civilians.”
"The people of Israel, the entire world, are in awe of the tremendous heroism of the citizens of Iran. Israel supports their struggle for freedom and strongly condemns the acts of mass murder against innocent civilians,” Netanyahu said.
The PM expressed hope to rebuild relations between Israel and Iran once the Persian nation was “freed from the yoke of tyranny.”
