On Monday, a meeting was held between the head of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry and the senior adviser to the US Secretary of State for negotiations in the Caucasus. This was stated in the message of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry released today.
The central topic of the discussion between Jeyhun Bayramov and Louis Bono was the prospects for negotiations on normalization between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
Bayramov focused on the fact that Yerevan had not fulfilled its obligations under the tripartite agreement and continued to carry out various kinds of provocations. He specified that Armenian forces were still present on Azerbaijani lands, as many as eight villages were under Armenian occupation.
In addition to this, the head of the diplomatic mission called on Armenia to release two Azerbaijani soldiers taken prisoner earlier.
