The United Nations has presented a new two-year economic growth forecast for the South Caucasus, predicting real GDP growth in Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Georgia to range from 2.7% to 5.4%.
According to a new forecast by UN analysts, the countries of the South Caucasus are set to experience real economic growth in the coming years of 2026 and 2027.
Real GDP growth in Azerbaijan is expected to stand at 2.7% in 2026, before dropping to 2.6% in 2027.
Real GDP growth in Armenia is projected at 4.8% for both 2026 and 2027, according to the official UN website.
Analysts forecast the highest economic growth in Georgia, with this indicator reaching 5.4% in 2026 and 5% in 2027.
The compilers of the report note that inflation in Armenia is forecasted at 3.1% in 2026 and 2.7% in 2027.
