Antalya received 4 million tourists from Türkiye and abroad for the holidays declared during the Eid al-Adha holiday, local media write, citing information from city authorities.
According to a representative of the mayor's office, the Eid al-Adha 2024 weekend lasted nine days, including the beginning of the school holidays.
As a result, tens of thousands of visitors arrived in Antalya every day from June 16 to June 25, bringing the total number of visitors to about 4 million for the entire holiday period.
According to the official, tourists came to the city by plane and bus. Moreover, they also arrived by personal vehicles. Over a million cars entered the city in total.
"4.3 thousand airplanes landed at the city airport. About 100 thousand tourists arrived in Antalya by international buses, the number of which amounted to 7.2 thousand",
the city representative said.
