The French Ambassador to Baku, Aurelia Bouchez, has said that her country considers that Nagorno-Karabakh is a part of Azerbaijan.
The diplomat also commented on the actions of the mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, who is to raise money for construction of community centers in the occupied Nagorno-Karabakh territory under the patronage of the French office of the All-Armenian Fund Hayastan.
The position of France in respect of the Nagorno-Karabakh issue quite clear: France supports Azerbaijan and doesn't recognize the so-called Republic of Nagorno-Karabakh. The fact that the mayor of Paris is realizing this project doesn't reflect the position of France. There is no reason to speak about double standards," Trend cites Aurelia Bouchez.
