The former chief of Kyrgyzstan's presidential office, Daniyar Narymbaev, has been detained. He faces charges of corruption.
Narymbaev was arrested on July 22 after being questioning about his involvement in a corruption case on extorting bribes from relatives of the ex-mayor of Bishkek, Nariman Tyuleev.
The lawmaker Khajimurat Korkmazov was detained last week while allegedly receiving $100,000 as a bribe from relatives of former lawmaker Nariman Tuleev.
