Russia temporarily suspended participation in the Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty, signed 13 years ago. This is stated in the decree of the President of Russia.
The document published on the legal information portal comes into force from today.
The suspension of participation in START was first announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin exactly a week ago. Later, deputies of the State Duma voted for the adoption of the presidential bill.
