US imposes sanctions on companies helping Iran

The US sanctions have been imposed on number of legal entities and individuals helping Iran with the production of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and weapons. This is stated in the message of the US Treasury, published on March 21.

The department noted that restrictive measures were taken against four companies and three people in Iran and Türkiye. It also specified that all of them were involved in the purchase of equipment, including European engines for drones.

A little less than two weeks ago, the USA extended anti-Iranian sanctions for another year. Restrictions against the Islamic Republic have been in effect for several decades.
