Chinese President Xi Jinping held talks with French President Emmanuel Macron on Thursday in Beijing.
Xi greeted his guest on a huge red carpet lined by Chinese and French flags as the countries' national anthems played.
Macron arrived in China yesterday. This is the French president's first trip to the PRC in three and a half years.
